    I'm pretty sure that in real life we grow plants, NOT red markers. It's making it more realistic. We could maybe make the plants visible at 10 meters away, any further and you can't see. Also disable the map marker when there's a drug plant near you. Big +1

    i gave it a half baked thought and think it would be better. eero made a good point, that would be nice. shit, people might even start playing around sf again.
    but really though, it would be far less "abusable" with plants instead of markers because (i think) most people plant near houses or biz markers so that they are less noticeable when the radar red blip appears when you're near a marker.

    These two are very strong points. If there's a way to make objects only be shown at a certain distance, then yes, actual plant models would make a mighty fine replacement for red drug bleeps.

    I think that would mean you can't just plant them out in the broad daylight on the roof of your house, planting drugs would actually involve finding a suitable spot where the likelihood of them being found is minimal.

    What we can try to do with these plants, is give them an opacity. Make them like transparent when you get further away, and give them their full skin when your close to them.

    Also removing the red marker would make these plants more realistic as planting in casinos or on roof tops is NOT safe in real life.

    I have no idea how hard it would be to code that in, but that's not on me.

    Lets be honest - grahpics and realism aren't the driving points of this game.

    That said I think it makes good sense.

    But because we're adding a disadvantage, I think there room to even it out


    Add that plant graphics, allow players to plant more plants.




    PS: it would be great to see the plants get larger as time goes on. If i remember correctly theres an object for weed plants that are quite large.
